Ferrandou is about 40 minutes south-east of Toulouse and less than an hour from Carcassonne in the Department of Aude (11) and close to the borders of Haute Garonne (31) and Ariege (09).

Our nearby village (10 minutes by car) is Salles sur l’Hers where there is a surgery with two doctors who speak excellent English. You will also find:

An excellent location for countryside lovers (young and old!) with plenty of opportunity for safe walking to observe an abundance of wildlife.

The spacious, modernised 17th century farmhouse sleeping four persons is situated on a hill facing south towards the Pyrenees which can be seen on clear days. Spectacular views of rolling hills are to be had as far as the eye can see.

Andorra and Spain can be visited in a day, with an early start and is therefore an ideal base for further exploration. Delightful villages within easy reach as is Ganguise Lake for fishing, windsurfing, sailing or just a picnic.
